Staff Data Scientist – Supply Chain Management

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join our supply chain management technology team in Taipei. The role focuses on applied research, AI/ML, and operations research to automate and optimize supply chain processes. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, turning ambiguous business challenges into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to identify technology improvement opportunities and translate vague requirements into concrete solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to guide model development, defining metrics and success criteria.
• Deliver data‑driven solutions that enable automated decision‑making at scale using advanced statistics, machine learning, and operations research.
• Analyze and solve complex data problems with innovative methods such as deep learning, and communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide post‑deployment analysis to quantify real‑world outcomes, pinpoint improvement areas, and guide future development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry or academic experience.
• Hands‑on experience with statistics/ML fundamentals and proficiency in Python, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong critical‑thinking ability to translate ambiguous business problems into data‑science solutions.
• Capability to independently conduct analysis, including hypothesis formulation, experiment design, and statistical testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging technical and business audiences.
