Software Development Engineer – Edge AI

About the role

Ring AI is looking for experienced software engineers to build the on‑device intelligence that powers the next generation of Ring cameras and doorbells. You will develop Edge AI software for embedded systems that transforms raw video into real‑time, on‑device signals for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Edge AI perception stacks for resource‑constrained devices.
• Port computer‑vision and machine‑learning models to embedded C/C++ environments.
• Collaborate with engineers and applied scientists across multiple countries.
• Contribute to AI‑powered workflows that improve embedded software development.
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging AI technologies backed by Amazon’s AI infrastructure.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Passion for building intelligent IoT products and pushing neural networks on constrained targets.
• Ability to work flexibly in a collaborative, multi‑national environment.

Required skills

• Embedded development in C/C++.
• Knowledge of computer architecture.
• Experience with deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision pipelines.
• Familiarity with at least one ML framework (e.g., PyTorch).
