About the role
Supermicro is looking for a Software Design Engineer to join its server management team. The role involves designing and implementing both backend services and web user interfaces that power cross‑platform server management solutions for data‑center customers.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with software developers to design and implement backend functions using Java.
- Design and develop web UI components and frameworks with Angular or React to improve usability.
- Apply SCRUM and agile practices such as pair programming, continuous integration, refactoring, and shared code.
- Write robust, maintainable code and conduct thorough testing.
- Contribute to continuous self‑improvement and agile process adoption.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
- Solid software engineering skills covering design, coding, and testing.
- Strong desire to create world‑class server management systems.
- Ability to produce robust, maintainable code.
- Good communication skills.
Required skills
- Java programming, including multithreaded, network, and database development.
- Angular or React frontend frameworks.
- Familiarity with SCRUM and agile development practices.
