Senior Software Engineer – Gaming Platform

About the role

Join the team building the next generation of OMEN Gaming Hub, HP’s software platform for gaming PCs and accessories. The role focuses on designing and delivering reliable desktop software that lets users personalize their gaming experience and manage system settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain new features for the OMEN Gaming Hub platform.
• Build desktop user experiences using C#.NET, WPF and/or Avalonia.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and improve software quality.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to translate requirements into well‑designed features.
• Contribute to Scrum ceremonies and use Jira and GitHub as part of the development workflow.
• Help improve architecture, performance, and maintainability of the software.

Required profile

• Four‑year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 7–10 years of professional experience in systems engineering or software development.

Required skills

• Strong professional experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience developing desktop applications with WPF and/or Avalonia.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented design and software architecture.
• Proficiency with GitHub for source control and Jira for task management.
• Experience with debugging, testing, CI/CD and automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with Intel, AMD or NVIDIA SDKs and APIs for hardware control.
• Knowledge of USB RGB communication using HID commands.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
