Senior Security Engineer, Penetration Tester

About the role

Coupang is expanding its business in Taiwan and is looking for a Senior Security Engineer, Penetration Tester (L5 level) to carry out hands-on penetration testing across web, mobile, API and cloud environments. The engineer identifies and validates vulnerabilities, explains their technical impact and gives actionable remediation advice, working closely with the Korea security team.

Key responsibilities

• Run authorized penetration tests on web apps, mobile apps, APIs and cloud attack surfaces within an agreed scope.
• Identify attack surfaces, apply appropriate testing methods and provide clear evidence for validated findings.
• Distinguish verified findings from false positives and give concrete remediation guidance.
• Use Linux, command-line tools and penetration-testing tools to run controlled tests and validate results.
• Write or modify scripts for request automation, test data handling and analysis of test results.
• Coordinate testing status, blockers, findings and next steps with the Korea security team and Taiwan stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands-on penetration-testing experience in web, mobile or API environments.
• Offensive-security experience sufficient to run defined tests with appropriate support.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English, able to communicate findings and remediation in both languages.
• Ability to collaborate across Taiwan and Korea on scope, escalation and delivery.

Required skills

• Penetration-testing tools in Linux or command-line environments.
• Programming or scripting to support security testing.
• Preferred: scoped penetration-testing projects, bug-bounty work, cloud-security testing, red-team or adversary-simulation experience, and an offensive-security certification such as OSCP, OSCE, OSED, CREST or SANS.
