Senior Security Engineer – Penetration Tester

About the role

Coupang is expanding its e‑commerce services in Taiwan and seeks a Senior Security Engineer to lead authorized penetration testing across web, mobile, API and cloud environments. The role works closely with the Korea security team to identify vulnerabilities and guide remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute authorized penetration tests on web applications, mobile apps, APIs and cloud‑related attack surfaces within defined scopes.
• Identify attack surfaces, apply appropriate testing methods, and provide clear evidence for validated findings.
• Assess vulnerabilities, differentiate true findings from false positives, and deliver actionable remediation guidance.
• Use Linux, command‑line utilities and penetration‑testing tools to conduct controlled testing and validate results.
• Develop or modify scripts to automate requests, process test data, or analyze security‑testing outcomes.
• Coordinate testing status, blockers, findings and next steps with the Korea security team and Taiwan stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on penetration‑testing experience in web, mobile or API environments.
• Proficiency with Linux and command‑line penetration‑testing tools.
• Ability to assess vulnerabilities, explain supporting evidence and impact, and propose remediation.
• Programming or scripting capability to support security testing.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English for clear communication of findings.
• Experience collaborating across regional security teams.
