Senior Security Engineer, Penetration Tester

About the role

The Senior Security Engineer, Penetration Tester will conduct hands‑on penetration testing across web, mobile, API, and cloud environments to support Coupang’s security activities in Taiwan, working closely with the Korea security team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute authorized penetration tests across web, mobile, API, and cloud attack surfaces within an agreed scope.
• Identify attack surfaces, apply appropriate testing methods, and produce clear evidence for validated findings.
• Assess vulnerabilities, distinguish verified findings from false positives, and provide actionable remediation guidance.
• Develop or modify scripts to automate requests, process test data, or analyze security‑testing results.
• Coordinate testing status, blockers, findings, and next steps with the Korea security team and Taiwan stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated hands‑on penetration‑testing capability across web, mobile, or API environments.
• Proficiency with penetration‑testing tools in Linux or command‑line environments.
• Ability to assess vulnerabilities, explain evidence and impact, and deliver remediation guidance.
• Programming or scripting skills that support security testing.
• Strong communication in English and Traditional Chinese and ability to collaborate across Taiwan and Korea security teams.
