Senior Security Engineer, Penetration Tester

About the role

Coupang is expanding its security operations in Taiwan and seeks a Senior Security Engineer specialized in penetration testing. You will work closely with the Korea security team to protect web, mobile, API, and cloud environments supporting Coupang’s services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute authorized penetration tests across web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and cloud attack surfaces within defined scopes.
• Identify attack surfaces, apply appropriate testing methods, and document findings with clear evidence.
• Assess vulnerabilities, differentiate true findings from false positives, and provide actionable remediation guidance.
• Utilize Linux, command‑line utilities, and penetration‑testing tools to conduct controlled testing and validation.
• Develop or adapt scripts to automate request handling, test‑data processing, or result analysis.
• Coordinate testing status, blockers, findings, and next steps with both Korea and Taiwan security stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on penetration‑testing experience in web, mobile, or API environments.
• Strong ability to use Linux and command‑line tools for security testing.
• Experience assessing vulnerabilities and delivering clear remediation guidance.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, capable of communicating findings in both languages.
• Collaborative mindset to work across Taiwan and Korea security teams.
