Senior Material Planner – GMP Manufacturing

About the role

The Material Planning Specialist acts as the subject‑matter expert for material requirements planning, purchase order execution and inventory optimisation within a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment. The role ensures uninterrupted material flow to production lines through proactive supplier tracking, strategic inventory control and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Execute MRP runs, generate and manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders while continuously fine‑tuning safety stock and lead‑time parameters.
• Monitor inbound shipments, coordinate dock‑to‑stock timelines, mitigate delays and handle Return‑to‑Vendor processes for non‑conforming goods.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials and packaging, track long‑lead and critical items, and lead slow‑moving/obsolete reviews.
• Partner with QA/QC to release quarantined material, align with Production on consumption schedules and work with Procurement to resolve supplier performance issues.
• Produce material control reports, analyse inventory turns, on‑time delivery and stock‑out risks, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in material planning, supply planning or purchasing, preferably in a GMP‑regulated environment.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal) with a minimum TOEIC score of 700.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or equivalent ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong data‑analysis capabilities for inventory optimisation and reporting.
• In‑depth knowledge of MRP, PO management, supplier delivery management and root‑cause analysis.
