Senior Finance Manager – Taiwan R&D Center

About the role

The Global Finance Group is looking for a senior finance professional to lead the finance function of the Taiwan Technology R&D Center. The role combines hands‑on financial planning, payroll governance and month‑end reporting while supporting the center’s growth and innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, long‑range planning and rolling forecast processes for the R&D center.
• Monitor monthly performance packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs) and provide variance analysis and risk/opportunity commentary.
• Partner with functional leaders to drive cost efficiency and resource optimization.
• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll governance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality and compliance with Taiwan labor, tax and social‑insurance regulations.
• Own payroll accounting entries, accruals, journals and reconciliations, and support SAP GL audits and statutory filings.
• Manage month‑end close activities, reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany and cost‑center allocations in SAP FI/CO.
• Strengthen internal controls, maintain SOX documentation (if applicable) and coordinate with tax, treasury and shared‑services teams.
• Support the Controller on cross‑functional projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership, preferably within a technology or semiconductor environment.
• Hands‑on leader with strong FP&A capabilities.
• Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO and solid understanding of payroll processes.
• Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
• Ability to start as an individual contributor and expand scope as proficiency grows.
