Senior Clinical Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Clinical Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of clinical studies, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role partners with business development, customers and internal functions to drive operational excellence throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in bid‑defense presentations and lead presentations for regional studies.
• Develop integrated study management plans together with the core project team.
• Execute assigned clinical studies in accordance with contracts, SOPs, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Set objectives for the project team, monitor performance and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, and lead problem‑solving and corrective actions.
• Maintain primary customer contact, manage relationships and coordinate with IQVIA business development representatives.
• Build and lead cross‑functional teams, ensuring collaboration across functional groups.
• Forecast financial performance, manage scope changes and drive revenue acceleration opportunities.
• Capture lessons learned and implement best‑practice improvements.
• Oversee vendor selection, management and performance as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing clinical trials or studies, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of clinical research SOPs, regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex project timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Financial acumen to forecast budgets, monitor costs and identify revenue opportunities.
• Experience with risk management and change‑control processes.
