Senior Accountant - Tax and Treasury

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Tax and Treasury will oversee the company’s payment processing, cash management and tax compliance functions. Reporting to Finance Management, the role ensures accurate cash flow, optimal working capital and timely filing of all tax obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payment processing, including preparation, approval coordination, bank execution, monitoring of payment status and resolution of rejected payments.
• Handle day‑to‑day banking administration, direct debits, cheque matters and other treasury activities, supporting short‑term cash planning and funding of operational payments.
• Monitor working‑capital metrics such as cash balances, payment cycles and payable aging, and contribute to initiatives that improve cash utilization.
• Take ownership of finance‑related tax compliance, preparing and reconciling VAT, withholding, non‑resident and corporate income tax, and ensuring timely filing and payment.
• Prepare and review tax‑related journal entries, provisions, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and respond to tax authority queries and audits.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing for treasury, banking, leases, expenses and taxation, ensuring accurate accounting and proper documentation.
• Administer expense claims, welfare committee expenses and promotion‑fund spending, maintaining complete records and compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation.
• Several years of experience in treasury, tax compliance and accounting, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
