Production Engineer Team Lead – Manufacturing (Mechatronics/Mechanical)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Production Engineer Team Lead, you will guide a group of 8‑12 engineers to deliver world‑class system assembly, integration and production performance in a fast‑paced high‑tech manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Production Engineers, set goals, conduct performance reviews and grow technical competency.
• Drive daily factory operations, ensure safety, quality, output and on‑time delivery, and provide technical guidance during escalations.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on cycle time, yield, efficiency and stability using structured methodologies (8D, RCA, DMAIC).
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, D&E, Quality and other cross‑functional teams to align priorities and influence decisions with data‑driven insights.
• Translate factory objectives into team plans, manage budgets and secure approvals for deviations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Physics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in high‑tech manufacturing or factory operations, with hands‑on system/module assembly and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of people‑management or technical‑leadership experience.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional projects and driving continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Assembly processes and system/hardware integration.
• Test and debug of complex modules.
• Structured problem‑solving methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, fishbone analysis).
• Data analysis, experimental design (DOE) and diagnostic data interpretation.
• Engineering change management (EC/ECN) and yield improvement techniques.
• Reliability engineering concepts.
