Principal Engineer, Engineering Program Management (IP)

About the role

Marvell is looking for a Principal Engineer to join Central Engineering's program management team, which is responsible for the IP development and delivery for Marvell's products and custom silicon businesses. The role covers IP program management from conception through to program Mass Production Release (MPR), working with product business units and other program managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop plans to deliver IP program management from concept through to mass production release, covering analog, logic, design for test, layout, timing, validation, PnR and more.
• Manage dependencies and deliverables from local skill groups, reporting status to Marvell executive stakeholders in weekly cross-functional meetings chaired by the candidate.
• Drive closure of IP specifications and requirements, and support Marvell's program management processes.
• Lead matrixed engineering managers, execute lessons learned and risk management, and enforce agreed processes.
• Own the successful outcome of IP development and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 10-15 years of related experience, or a Master's/PhD with 5-10 years of experience.
• 6+ years as an Engineering Project Manager in the semiconductor industry preferred.
• 6+ years as a mixed-signal IP designer preferred; mixed-signal design manager experience preferred.
• Broad background in ASIC or other microelectronics semiconductor product development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SoC/IC design flow for advanced process technologies and silicon development methodologies.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and proven ability to partner with technical managers and stakeholders.
