PCB Layout Engineer – High‑Speed Data Center Products

About the role

Etched is looking for a PCB Layout Engineer to join its data‑center hardware team in Taiwan. You will design and optimise high‑speed printed circuit boards for cutting‑edge AI inference ASICs, focusing on 100 Gb/s signaling, power distribution and complex HDI stack‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑speed PCB layout using Cadence Allegro, implementing impedance matching, trace routing and crosstalk mitigation for 100 G applications.
• Develop power distribution networks, including power planes, decoupling strategies and thermal management for high‑performance systems.
• Design complex HDI stack‑ups with blind/buried vias and microvias to meet signal‑integrity and form‑factor requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams, providing input during design reviews to ensure manufacturability and system‑level performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (advanced degrees a plus).
• Approximately 10 years of PCB layout experience, especially in high‑speed signaling and data‑center products.
• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro and deep knowledge of signal‑integrity, impedance control and HDI manufacturing.
• Experience designing power distribution networks and thermal solutions for demanding hardware.
