Part‑Time Customer Service Representative (Airport)

About the role

As the face of United Airlines in the airport, you will create welcoming connections with domestic and international travelers. You will assist passengers throughout their journey, from ticketing and baggage handling to boarding, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist passengers with reservations, ticketing, check‑in, and boarding.
• Provide courteous service at ticket counters, gates, baggage areas, and lounges.
• Resolve travel disruptions by rebooking or offering alternate flight options.
• Read passenger IDs, baggage tags, cargo labels, and flight status information.
• Operate computer systems to enter and retrieve passenger data.
• Lift baggage and packages up to 70 lb and operate jet‑way bridges.
• Perform simple calculations for baggage fees and weight assessments.
• Ensure compliance with United Airlines and FAA regulations, including basic flight‑operations, ramp‑service, NOTAM review, and weight‑and‑balance knowledge.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work both ticket counters and boarding gates, as well as baggage service areas.

Required skills

• Computer operation for passenger data entry.
• Basic knowledge of flight operations and ramp services.
• Basic understanding of NOTAM review and weight‑and‑balance concepts.
• Simple arithmetic calculations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
