Medical Director – Taiwan

About the role

The Medical Director will serve as the senior medical authority for Taiwan, leading the development and execution of the country’s medical strategy across both in‑line and pipeline assets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior medical authority for Taiwan, shaping medical strategy and ensuring alignment with JAPAC and global plans.
• Lead medical readiness for product launches, evidence generation, and lifecycle management across oncology and other priority assets.
• Provide scientific leadership, engage with key opinion leaders, and support guideline and policy development.
• Oversee medical governance, risk management, compliance and patient safety, partnering with safety, regulatory and other functions.
• Build and develop a high‑performing medical organization, recruiting, coaching and retaining talent.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS) preferred; alternatively PharmD, PhD with extensive Medical Affairs experience.
• 10+ years of Medical Affairs or clinical development experience in pharma/biotech, with senior leadership responsibilities.
• Established network and credibility with key external experts and stakeholders in Taiwan and the region.
• Deep understanding of Taiwan’s healthcare, regulatory, reimbursement and policy environment.
• Proven track record in medical governance, risk management and compliance.
