Mechanical Engineer – 2026 New College Graduate

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking 2026 graduates for a Mechanical Engineer position at its Tainan Display Manufacturing Center and Lab. You will work on designing and optimizing mechanical tooling, chambers, and related processes for advanced semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Develop, design, and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, and specifications.
• Lead engineering test reports, perform analysis, and document results.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of critical mechanical components and suppliers.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2026) with a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science.
• Motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D/2D design tools such as Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Experience or knowledge of vacuum/chamber design.
