Manufacturing Technician – Cleanroom Equipment Assembly

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves electro‑mechanical assembly, troubleshooting and ensuring parts are defect‑free.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs on sub‑assemblies and components.
• Receive parts, conduct audits to verify availability and defect‑free status.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
• Complete job documentation, data entry and perform computer programming, software installs or repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop new processes, provide input on product design and integration.
• Train and support lower‑level technicians and assist supervisors with daily production resource alignment.
• Serve as Quality Lead when required, addressing quality issues at customer sites.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree.
• 4–7 years of semiconductor or display manufacturing experience, or comparable industry/military experience.
• Specialized expertise in analytical or scientific work for complex tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects with minimal supervision.
• Proven people‑leadership experience managing teams of five or more.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support teams.
