Fire Safety Manager

About the role

Coupang is hiring a Fire Safety Manager in Taoyuan to lead fire safety and compliance across its facilities. The role covers policy enforcement, risk assessment, emergency response, training and reporting, working with regulators and fire departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce fire safety policies and procedures in line with Taiwan's fire codes and regulations
• Conduct fire risk assessments, safety inspections and audits, and collaborate with AHJs and fire departments
• Lead inspections, maintenance and performance evaluations of fire protection systems
• Run fire prevention programs, including hot work permits, fire drills and evacuation plans
• Oversee design, installation and maintenance of fire detection, alarm and suppression systems
• Develop fire emergency response plans, train staff and emergency teams, and liaise with local emergency services
• Design and deliver fire safety training for employees, contractors and facility teams
• Maintain records of incidents and inspections, analyse fire safety data and report to executives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety, Fire Science, Engineering or a related field
• At least 8 years of fire prevention experience, preferably in a corporate, industrial or AHJ setting
• Experience in fire risk assessment, compliance audits and emergency planning
• Leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

• Advanced degree in Fire Science, Engineering or Occupational Safety
• Certifications such as CFPS or NFPA
• Experience with fire safety technology, AI-enabled fire monitoring and digital compliance tracking
• Bilingual Mandarin and English
• Prior experience in multinational corporations or high-risk operations
