Field Service Engineer – Linkou

About the role

The Customer Support organization is responsible for installations, qualification, repair and maintenance of ASML systems at customer sites and for transferring know‑how. The Field Service Engineer 2 executes regular and irregular maintenance activities with considerable independence and limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze problems, gather diagnostic information and decide on an initial approach to resolve issues.
• Hand over problems or aspects to 2nd‑line support, documenting all relevant data such as work orders and service reports.
• Perform repairs using tools, replace parts and adjust settings independently.
• Execute procedures within scheduled customer machine time windows, ensuring required parts, tools and knowledge are available.
• Provide training and advice to users, explaining corrective actions and routine maintenance.
• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, reporting them to stakeholders.
• Maintain and broaden personal knowledge, sharing best practices within the team.
• Coach less‑experienced engineers on their first tasks.

Required profile

• Experienced Field Service Engineer with a BSc degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Technical industry experience required; semiconductor industry experience preferred.
• Proficient with computer applications, including data analysis tools, spreadsheet and presentation software.
• Complete knowledge of product functionality of main modules and sub‑modules.
