Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will deliver high‑quality service work on electrical and switchgear equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. You will work on installations, commissioning, inspections, and maintenance of GIS and AIS systems while identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, regular maintenance, and extensions of GIS/AIS switchgear on‑site.
• Diagnose technical problems, conduct remote or on‑site analysis, and provide corrective actions.
• Coordinate materials, parts, and equipment to ensure readiness for service activities.
• Prepare and submit documentation and reports for customer sign‑off.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and communicate potential sales opportunities internally.
• Support administrative procedures in sales and project management when required.
• Apply safety, environmental, and integrity standards and report any unsafe practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing electrical equipment, panel building, switchgear operation or maintenance.
• Basic proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Experience with GIS/AIS switchgear operation and maintenance.
