Field Sales Engineer - Ocean

As a Field Sales Engineer – Ocean you will be the single point of contact for strategic marine and power plant accounts, delivering end‑to‑end sales and service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• One-Stop Account sales: Act as the dedicated single window for selected accounts, managing the entire commercial and technical relationship across both marine vessels and land‑based power plants.
• Synergized Sales (Capital & Service): Drive sales for both new equipment (capital) and aftermarket services/spare parts, presenting a unified Alfa Laval solution to the accounts.
• End-to-End Claim Management: Take full ownership of customer claims, disputes, and technical complaints, coordinating with factories, quality assurance, and global Business Units to resolve issues swiftly.
• Cross‑Border Project Collaboration: Actively coordinate with Alfa Laval offices in shipbuilding nations (e.g., China, Korea, Japan) to secure new‑build projects where local accounts make technical decisions.
• Global BU Alignment: Participate in meetings and technical reviews with overseas Business Units to secure technical support, customized pricing, and product updates.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of commercial or technical experience in the Marine industry (shipowners/operators) or Power Plant sector.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem‑solving skills for handling high‑pressure client complaints.
• Fluent in spoken and written English for interaction with global Business Units and overseas shipyards.
• Highly resilient, service‑oriented, and ownership mindset (“Your customer is your business”).
