Electronics Specialty Gases – Emergency Response SME & Trainer

About the role

Air Products is expanding its Electronics Specialty Gases business across Asia and seeks an experienced Subject Matter Expert to lead Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response (EP&R). The role will provide technical leadership for on‑site and off‑site emergency response, develop training curricula, and support incident investigations for hazardous gas operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority on emergency planning for hazardous gases and specialty gas systems.
• Provide guidance on gas behavior, release scenarios, hazard zones, PPE selection, monitoring, isolation and disposal techniques.
• Evaluate new products, mixtures and supply modes for emergency response implications before startup.
• Advise EHS, operations, product safety and response teams during incident reviews, drills and post‑incident learning.
• Design, deliver and continuously improve ESG‑specific emergency response training for operators, technicians, response teams and leadership.
• Conduct tabletop exercises, functional drills and field simulations, coordinating with mutual‑aid partners and public responders.
• Maintain knowledge of regional emergency response laws, support after‑action reviews and contribute to standards and guidance documents.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in emergency response for hazardous gases or similar high‑risk industrial environments.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver technical training programs.
• Strong analytical skills to assess gas release risks and design mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
