Electrical System Engineer

About the role

IMS Nanofabrication, a global semiconductor equipment company headquartered in Austria with subsidiaries in Vienna, Taiwan, South Korea and the USA, is hiring an Electrical System Engineer in Tainan. The role covers electrical troubleshooting, root cause analysis and support of equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve electrical failures and operational issues escalated from first line.
• Investigate recurring electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, document findings and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Support planned maintenance, shutdowns and equipment servicing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, support procedures and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call support and escalations as required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems or machinery, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings; semiconductor background is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to write concise reports, procedures and technical documents.
• Experience with Jira or similar ticket systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of high voltage and PLC is a plus.
