Director of Quality

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Director of Quality to shape and execute its quality strategy across the full product lifecycle for embedded computing and industrial electronics solutions. This senior leader will drive world‑class standards in product development, manufacturing, supplier management and customer satisfaction while ensuring global regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a corporate Quality Management strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Institutionalize APQP/PPAP, risk management, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA and change control processes.
• Drive quality throughout New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing and field support for embedded hardware, firmware and software.
• Establish robust design verification, validation, reliability testing and product qualification processes.
• Lead Supplier Quality Management, including qualification, audits, performance monitoring and corrective actions.
• Oversee customer quality, warranty analysis, root‑cause investigations, CAPA and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Champion Lean Six Sigma and data‑driven improvements to reduce defects and boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Customer Support to ensure product excellence.
• Develop quality metrics, dashboards and executive reports to drive performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering and Management, with at least 5 years leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Proven background in embedded systems, industrial computing and electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of embedded hardware, firmware, PCB assembly, system integration and product reliability.
• Experience in global manufacturing environments and supplier/contract‑manufacturer quality leadership.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt and ASQ CQE/CMQ certifications preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
