DevOps Engineer

About the role

The ASUS Robotics & AI Center in Taipei is looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide tools and development infrastructure for other developers. The role works in a cross-functional team that owns the full software lifecycle and collaborates with other teams on software architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and extend a polyglot CI/CD system
• Write clean, maintainable and well-commented source code
• Proactively solve problems and critically evaluate the pros and cons of different approaches
• Independently read relevant literature and share insights with other stakeholders
• Work in a cross-functional team and collaborate on optimal software architecture decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field
• 2+ years of industry work experience or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor aligned with integrity and excellence

Required skills

• Expertise in the software delivery lifecycle, especially polyglot CI/CD, testing, build artifacts and deployment
• Familiarity with cloud computing: virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, access-control policies, system security and microservice patterns
• Software development best practices: coding standards, code reviews, design patterns, source control and test automation
• Programming in C++, Python, JavaScript and/or Go
