About the role
Analyze security events and system telemetry to identify threats, investigate attack behavior, and develop practical detection methods.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze security events, logs, and system behavior to spot anomalous activity and indicators of compromise.
- Develop, validate, and tune detection rules and alert logic, and conduct incident investigations and impact assessments.
- Perform threat hunting, translate attack behavior into observable detection methods, and maintain documentation of analyses and procedures.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience in security monitoring, incident analysis, or incident response.
- Understanding of common attack techniques, defensive concepts, and ability to independently investigate security events.
Required skills
- Python, PowerShell, shell scripting
- SIEM, EDR, endpoint and network security tools
- MITRE ATT&CK, Sigma, YARA, KQL, SPL
- Windows Event Logs, Sysmon, ETW
- Malware analysis, reverse engineering, cloud security monitoring
