Customer Support Engineer Intern

About the role

Motorola Solutions is looking for a Customer Support Engineer Intern in Taipei. The department provides technical support for a major mission-critical operations system, supporting the delivery of customer applications and company products. The intern works with cross-functional teams across technology stacks such as web, mobile and middleware, and supports mission-critical IT and radio systems while helping meet service-level and operational KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Follow work instructions, procedures and policies, and help implement and maintain procedures to measure and track service performance and quality.
• Act as an escalation point for Helpdesk staff and Service Engineers alongside senior technical engineers when needed.
• Interact with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support existing systems and networks (servers, firewalls, routers and switches).
• Perform software installations (base stations, servers, radios and other devices).
• Work on network devices (remote and onsite) and assist with network designs.
• Learn new skills with access to labs and testing facilities, under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, IT, Electronics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Background in networks, IT and virtual machines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of verbal and written English.
• A 'can do' attitude and ability to think on your feet.
