Control Systems Engineer

About the role

The Control Systems Engineer works closely with production, development and research teams to solve complex technical challenges. The role supports continuous improvement, new product introductions and cost‑reduction initiatives while ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day problem‑solving support for production, development and research operations.
• Train operators and trades personnel on new equipment and processes.
• Build detailed technical understanding of key process steps using rigorous methods.
• Troubleshoot material, process and equipment issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Implement and document material, process or equipment changes.
• Apply statistical tools and Design of Experiments (DOE) for problem solving and process improvement.
• Assure quality, repeatability and safety of processes and products.
• Support new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation and training.
• Lead or contribute to DMAIC cost‑reduction and improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Yellow Belt training and a proven track record of delivering results.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience working on project teams.
• Preferred: summer internship experience, Green Belt certification, project‑team leadership or shift supervisory experience.

• DMAIC methodology.
• Yellow Belt (and optionally Green Belt) process‑improvement certifications.
