Business Development Associate

About the role

The Business Development Associate will drive the expansion and launch of new payment solutions while managing strategic partner relationships. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to shape product offerings and increase electronic payment adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the expansion and launch of new payment solutions and manage strategic partners.
• Identify and discuss business opportunities with settlement system companies, banking service providers, credit‑card companies and other partners.
• Select suitable payment options and providers to deliver optimal payment experiences for merchants and consumers.
• Provide market insights, clarify business requirements, and contribute to the development of new payment products and features.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues to define business terms and achieve company targets.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase electronic payment penetration and grow processing volume for SHOPLINE’s payment solutions.

Required profile

• Quick learner with a proven track record of closing deals and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with the payment and banking ecosystem and mainstream payment products.
• Understanding of settlement business practices, policies and regulations.
• Good grasp of payment business development practices.
• Strategic, logical, well‑organized and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to identify partnership opportunities and manage payment partner relationships.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Previous experience in a payment company or card payment industry is highly preferred.
