Application Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to support process-related activities and equipment applications for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing customers, primarily focusing on PCB manufacturing companies. The role is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan and involves frequent travel to customer sites within Taiwan and occasional overseas trips.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer‑facing engineering activities related to process applications and equipment performance for PCB manufacturing customers.
• Work on‑site at customer locations, including PCB manufacturers and OSAT customers, with short‑term assignments of 1–2 months.
• Travel frequently within Taiwan (e.g., Yangmei, Hukou, Kaohsiung) and potentially overseas based on business needs.
• Participate in on‑site training and online learning programs for onboarding and skill development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or related fields preferred).
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Fluid Mechanics.
• New college graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience; Customer Engineer background is a plus.
• English proficiency (TOEIC 550+ within 5 years) and fluent Mandarin.
