Account Manager – Research Intelligence Solutions

About the role

You will partner with key stakeholders in academic and research institutions to improve client satisfaction, ensure retention and renewal, and identify opportunities for new and additional solutions. The role is based in Taiwan with domestic travel and focuses on scientific databases and research intelligence products.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue targets for scientific databases and solutions such as Scopus, SciVal, Pure, analytical services and LeapSpace.
• Understand client needs using a consultative approach and translate them into tailored propositions.
• Develop and execute account strategies, conduct annual planning and keep Salesforce up‑to‑date.
• Monitor sales results and forecasts using tools like Clari and adjust actions accordingly.
• Gather competitor information and provide market feedback to influence product development and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision makers at universities and government research institutes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of sales or related experience with a proven track record selling technology and solutions.
• Experience in research administration, knowledge of regional or national research programs and collaboration networks.
• Ability to operate on operational, tactical and strategic levels and to plan strategically for accounts.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
