Senior Specialist – Developer Transformation

About the role

The Developer Transformation (DevTx) team at AWS helps developers build modern, cloud‑native applications using the latest AI‑driven tools and AWS services. As a Senior Specialist – Solution Architect you will guide customers in adopting advanced software development practices and accelerate the delivery of production‑grade workloads on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one‑to‑one and group architecture workshops with developers, engineers, CTOs and solution architects.
• Drive AWS adoption in student, startup and professional developer communities through conferences, meetups, hackathons and other events.
• Shape and present AWS developer events, delivering live demos and technical talks.
• Create and maintain reference applications, starter kits, patterns and practical guidance to showcase AWS as a development platform.
• Contribute reusable artefacts such as sample code, blog posts, tutorials and demos to the developer enablement library.
• Provide feedback to AWS Product Management and Engineering based on the developer “voice of the customer”.
• Participate in technical design discussions with AWS teams to ensure best‑practice implementations.
• Mentor and lead hands‑on deep‑dive workshops, delivering reusable code and reference architectures for the broader engineering organization.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering cloud‑native solutions on AWS.
• Strong background in modern software development practices, AI‑native tooling and full‑stack application lifecycles.
• Proven ability to influence technical stakeholders and inspire developer communities.
• Excellent communication skills for public speaking, demo delivery and technical writing.
