Project Planning Engineer – Schedule, Cashflow & AI

About the role

The GFAC Project Planning Engineer will lead schedule, cashflow, and AI-driven planning for Micron's North Asia construction portfolio. This role combines governance, forecasting, and digital automation to enhance project visibility and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scheduling guidelines, coordinate schedule updates, and validate schedule quality and assumptions.
• Consolidate cashflow forecasts, monitor spending performance, and support long‑range financial planning.
• Create forecasting models, perform scenario analysis, and conduct sensitivity studies for project evaluation.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, automation workflows, and SharePoint reporting platforms.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools into planning, forecasting, and reporting to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance, procurement, and site teams to ensure alignment of planning assumptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Data Analytics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Project Controls, Scheduling, or Construction Management, preferably on large capital projects.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English; Japanese is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, VBA.
• Python programming for automation and data analysis.
• Scheduling and cashflow forecasting methodologies.
• Dashboard development and business intelligence reporting.
• SharePoint governance and digital collaboration tools.
• Experience applying AI tools to planning and reporting.
