NPI Project Manager – Medical Device Development

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the design and development of complex medical devices within SHL Medical, ensuring project requirements, deadlines and budgets are met. This role requires close collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams throughout the entire design and development process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex medical devices and equipment.
• Define project scope, objectives and major milestones in alignment with sponsors and internal program managers.
• Forecast resources, assemble and manage a multidisciplinary project team.
• Prepare and track project budgets, schedules and risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors for flawless execution.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and managing changes to scope, schedule and cost.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience in highly complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage project scope, schedule and budget, and mitigate risks.

Required skills

• PMP certification (preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Project or similar digital project‑management tools.
• Knowledge of GMP production and medical‑device quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA CFR 21).
• Experience with injection molding, machining methods and rapid prototyping techniques.
