Consultant – Valuation & Modeling – Consulting

About the role

Join Deloitte's Valuation & Modeling team in Taipei as a Consultant, where you will develop advanced business models and valuations supporting M&A, debt financing, restructuring, and strategic initiatives for major local and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial reporting valuations for business combinations, including allocation of purchase price to assets, liabilities, goodwill, and intangible assets.
• Conduct goodwill and long‑lived asset impairment testing for financial reporting purposes.
• Perform tax‑focused valuations for corporate, international, and personal tax matters, supporting tax equity financings.
• Provide consultative services for client business plan development, strategic investment decisions, and other financial objectives.
• Value derivative securities, debt instruments, and employee stock option plans.
• Deliver regulatory and compliance valuations as required.
• Support valuation work for M&A transactions, debt financing, and restructuring projects.
• Produce comprehensive project‑based analyses aligned with client and transaction specifics.
• Contribute to business development activities and the sales process.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial due diligence, audit, or related fields.
• Strong academic background in finance, accounting, or a related business discipline.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Interest in M&A environments is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
