Assistant Restaurant Manager – Luxury Italian Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations of Bencotto, the Italian restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei. You will help drive service excellence, maintain standards, and step in as acting manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in operational and administrative tasks, adjusting engagement based on business volume.
• Supervise daily operations to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and consistent service standards.
• Enforce operational standards, SOPs, and quality measures at all times.
• Implement and monitor side‑work systems, tabletop supplies, and duty checklists.
• Assist in menu planning, pricing, and promotional activities to maximise revenue.
• Review guest feedback, audits and incident reports, and develop improvement action plans.
• Foster inter‑departmental communication and teamwork across diverse teams.

Required profile

• High School diploma (required); Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or Business Management (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a 5‑star luxury hotel environment, preferably in an Italian restaurant.
• Fluent verbal communication in Mandarin and English.
