Senior SOC Analyst (Tier 3) – Taipei

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SOC Analyst (Tier 3) to join our global security operations team in Taipei. The role acts as the internal escalation point for our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, leads complex investigations and ensures our environment is defended against evolving threats. You will also support global security projects and audits such as NIST, ISO, and TISAX.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for incidents from the MDR provider, leading containment, eradication and recovery activities.
• Conduct deep‑dive investigations and forensic reviews across endpoint, identity, network and cloud environments, producing clear reports in English and Chinese.
• Review MDR escalations for quality, partner on QBRs and SLA reviews, and drive remediation of coverage gaps.
• Perform proactive threat hunting using KQL in Microsoft Sentinel and develop custom detection rules.
• Support global security projects and audits by providing operational evidence, log extracts and control validation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a SOC or security operations role handling escalated incidents.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin (Chinese).

Required skills

• Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud).
• TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S and common network protocols.
• Windows, Linux and macOS internals and logging.
• Azure, Microsoft 365 (Entra ID/Active Directory) and cloud security fundamentals.
• MITRE ATT&CK framework and cyber kill chain knowledge.
• Kusto Query Language (KQL) for threat hunting.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Experience with SOAR platforms and threat intelligence platforms (TIPs).
