Director of Sales & Marketing – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Sales & Marketing leads all commercial functions for Hyatt Centric East Taipei, overseeing sales, marketing, public relations, distribution and business development. Reporting to the Executive Committee, the role works closely with Revenue Management to maximise revenue, market share and brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Sales & Marketing Business Plan aligned with hotel and brand objectives.
• Lead sales activities across corporate, MICE, government, leisure and local markets, managing key accounts and negotiations.
• Design and implement integrated marketing, digital and social media campaigns to strengthen brand awareness.
• Identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships and represent the hotel at industry events.
• Oversee public relations, media relations and crisis communication to protect the hotel’s reputation.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management on distribution strategies, pricing and market intelligence.
• Prepare and manage the department’s budget, forecasts and financial performance.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry.
• 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within an international hotel company.
• Proven track record managing multiple market segments including corporate, group, MICE and leisure.
• Pre‑opening experience and background in lifestyle or upscale hotel brands is highly desirable.
