Director of Sales – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead all hotel sales activities, driving revenue, market share and profitability across corporate, MICE, government, travel trade and leisure segments. Reporting to senior management, the role works closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, Events and Operations to align commercial strategies and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual sales plans and strategies aligned with the hotel’s business objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, analyze market trends and competitor activities to maximize market penetration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, event planners, travel partners and other key stakeholders, conducting sales calls, presentations and site inspections.
• Negotiate contracts, rates and agreements to optimize revenue while ensuring high customer satisfaction and account retention.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team, set performance targets, conduct regular reviews and foster a results‑driven culture.
• Monitor sales activities, produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, maintain accurate CRM data and provide reliable forecasts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Events, Operations and Revenue Management to support promotional campaigns, group business execution and service quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a sales leadership or management role.
• Proven experience with international hotel brands and a strong understanding of corporate, MICE and group sales.
• Pre‑opening experience is an advantage.
