Chief Executive Officer – Kaohsiung Terminal

About the role

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Kaohsiung Terminal, you will be accountable for overall performance, growth and strategic development, reporting to senior leadership of CMA CGM Ports & Terminals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the terminal’s strategic vision, lead the management team and represent the business with customers, authorities and partners.
• Ensure safe, reliable 24/7 operations, drive productivity, vessel turnaround, capacity utilization and continuous improvement.
• Own financial performance, budgeting, cost efficiency and profitability while collaborating across operations, engineering, commercial and support functions.
• Build strong relationships with CMA CGM, shipping lines and strategic customers, supporting commercial development and revenue growth.
• Lead people, talent development and industrial relations, fostering a high‑performance safety‑focused culture.
• Champion health, safety, security and environmental standards, compliance and sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
• Identify and drive terminal development, CAPEX projects and digitalisation to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
• Represent the terminal with the Kaohsiung Port Authority, government bodies and other stakeholders, providing regular performance updates to group leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or related field; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years senior leadership experience in ports, container terminals, shipping or logistics with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in operational excellence, infrastructure development and large‑scale investment projects.
• Extensive experience managing senior relationships with customers, governments, port authorities and unions.
• Strong commercial, financial and strategic planning capabilities, including risk management and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, digitalisation and sustainability programmes.
