Senior Touch Hardware Engineer – Display & Touch Team

About the role

As a Senior Touch Hardware Engineer on the Display and Touch Team, you will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to design, validate and bring to production innovative consumer‑electronics touch and display solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on bring‑up, testing and troubleshooting of touch subsystems, display assemblies and associated control electronics.
• Serve as technical architect and lead for display/touch components throughout the product lifecycle, from road‑mapping to mass‑production support.
• Manage technical relationships with display and touch vendors to ensure specifications and schedules are met.
• Develop and implement stress‑test methods and automation for touch performance validation.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on touch, stylus and gesture technologies, providing up‑to‑date information to teams and management.
• Travel to supplier and contract‑manufacturer sites worldwide (10‑20% travel) to support development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics.
• Experience as a hardware engineer in the consumer‑electronics or touch/display industry.
• Hands‑on experience with capacitive touch development, active stylus development and gesture technologies.
• Product integration experience and familiarity with touch/display test equipment and methods.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and experience programming in Python, C/C++ or Java within a GNU/Linux environment.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of optics, cameras and AutoCAD, and experience in international cross‑functional teams.
