Actuarial Analyst – Life Insurance Consulting (Taipei)

About the role

Milliman is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to join its Life Insurance Consulting practice in Taipei. You will support the development and delivery of a wide range of consulting activities across the Asia‑Pacific region, including mergers and acquisitions, reserving analysis, product development, data validation, modelling, market research, and risk‑capital management. The role offers extensive on‑the‑job training to help you become a trusted actuarial consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with M&A projects, reserving studies, and product pricing initiatives.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and preparation for actuarial models.
• Develop, test, and validate actuarial models using industry‑standard software.
• Conduct market research and risk‑capital assessments for life insurance portfolios.
• Contribute to marketing efforts, research publications, and proposal development.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in life actuarial work.
• Strong understanding of local actuarial and insurance regulatory requirements.
• Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels under tight timelines.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial modelling software, specifically Prophet.
